The Memorial Museum Ion Creanga from Humulesti – Neamt County is the place where the famous Romanian writer was born and where he spent his childhood.
The visitors of the memorial house also come to meet the famous characters in Creanga's stories: Aunt Marioara, the Goat and her Three Kids, the Bear tricked by the Fox or the Hoopoe in the Lime. The exhibition also includes peasant blouses from the late nineteenth century, household items more than 100 years old, such as coal iron presses, grape crushers or horse saddles.
Nearly 60,000 tourists cross each year the threshold of the "Ion Creanga" Memorial House in Humulesti - today a neighborhood of Targu Neamt city - making it one of the most sought tourist attractions in Neamt County.
